WE ARE TEN YEARS OLD!

10 years of rambling were celebrated by a trip to Llangolen by 52 members on 2nd June 2007.

The group split into two groups, the first led by Howard to go on a 9.5 mile walk via Castell Dinas Bran and Offa's Dyke trail to the famous Pontcysyllte Aquaduct before returning on the canal towpath.

The shorter walk of 5.5 miles led by Sylvia took in Llantysilio Church,Valle Crusis Abbey and Pentrefelin, returning passed the Eisteddfod Pavilionand new marina.

Afterwards time was spent either enjoyng the sites of Llangolen or the hospitality of your chosen pub or cafe.

At 5.30pm everyone met at the Bridge End Hotel for the celebration meal, followed by a presentation to our Founder member and Chairman, Mr W Sheldon.

Since its inauguration 10 years ago the group has grown, and now enjoys a healthy membership of 120 members. This is no doubt due to the efforts of past and present members in making anyone welcome to our group, the leader's abilitys to provide a variety of walks and various social events and holidays. All these things are co-ordinated by our very hard working Secretary Neil and his wife Jill and a special vote of thanks goes to them for making this day a success.
